About

Better software starts with understanding the business.

Most companies do not need help choosing a framework. They need help working out what the software has to do, and whether it needs building at all.

How we work

Four positions, and what each one costs us to hold.

01

Problem first

The conversation starts with what is slowing the business down, not with a product to sell. A requirement described properly is worth more than any feature list.

02

No unnecessary complexity

If something simpler solves it — a product that already exists, a smaller first phase, a system you already own — that is what we should tell you.

03

Clear delivery

Scope, deliverables, exclusions and timeline are agreed before work begins, and stay visible while it happens.

04

A relationship after launch

Software is not finished when it ships. Change requests, new phases and support follow the same structure as the original work.

Why we work this way

The expensive mistakes in business software are almost never technical. They are a system that solved a problem nobody had, a scope that grew until the launch date stopped meaning anything, or a custom build where a product would have done.

So the first part of the work is understanding — what happens today, who it involves, where it breaks and what that costs. The recommendation follows from that, and sometimes the recommendation is to spend less.

Where to start

Tell us what you are trying to change.

Not the technology — the thing that is slowing the business down. We will place it, and the first piece of work is on us.
